Royal United Sikkim Football Club came back from a goal down to beat Sikkim Police 4-1 and continues their winning streak after registering its third consecutive win today in the Play24/7 Sikkim Premier League at Paljor Stadium.
This evening match also draws good numbers of spectators sitting in all galleries of the stadium.
Norbu Lepcha scored an early lead for Sikkim Police in the 10th minute but Sonam Zangpo scored the equalizer for Royal United Sikkim FC in the 33rd minute to end the first half 1-1 draw.
Keeping its attacking game continue in the second half, RUSFC players kept the pressure on the opponent. Ong Tshering Lepcha scored the second goal for Royal United Sikkim FC in the 65th minute and his teammate, Karan Rai extended the lead of RUSFC to 3-1 in the 85th minute.
In the injury time of the match, the referee offered a penalty kick to RUSFC for roughly tacking its striker, Karan Rai by Sikkim Police defender inside the box.
Royal United Sikkim FC captain, Mayal Dok Lepcha stepped in and successfully converted the penalty to make it 4-1.
With the win, Royal United SFC continues to stay at the summit of the league table with 9 points from 3 games.
