Uruguay managed to secure narrow 1-0 victory over Egypt in the second match of the Group A played at Central Stadium (Ekaterinburg Arena).
After a five-goal thriller, World Cup opener Uruguay and Egypt needed to showcase the class display at Ekaterinburg that will level the Group A opener wherein Russia dismantled Saudi Arabia, however, the match lacked the ambition and hunger for goal.
Star striker Suarez missed couple to serious chances that could be proved Uruguayan tough in Group A. Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy proved worthy between the bars.
It was in the dying minutes of the second half Jose Gimenez header went pass El-Shenawy to hand Uruguay the full three points from the clash giving Suarez a breathe a sigh of relief after the his horrible misses.
