Russia goal shower continues as they secured a comfortable 3-1 win over Egypt in the second round group match of Group A at St Petersburg Stadium.
After a goalless first half Russian came strong in the second session and took the lead in the very second minute of the second half proceeding through Ahmed Fathy´s deflection that falls into the right-hand corner of the net on Zobnin´s weak shot.
The minute before an hour mark Russian doubled the lead through Cheryshev who slotted the ball in on Fernandes perfect pass. Three minutes later Russian more or less sealed the deal with the goal coming in from Dzyuba with a 3-0 lead.
Mohamed Salah pulled back one his World Cup debut with a goal from the penalty spot but Russia was in better position to give any advantage to Egypt.
The win gives host six points from two games in Group A and puts them in the top position closer to next round berth.
