Desperate Germany dominated the game from start to end and managed to snatch a full point from Sweden in their second match of the Group F at Fisht Olympic Stadium, Sochi.
After a loss against Mexico in the opener Germany needed the win and were aggressive from the very start of the game and kept mounting pressure on Sweden.
Sweden took the advantage on the counter and shaken the world with their goal in the 32nd minute. Toivonen chested the ball and flicks the ball over Neuer under a challenge from German defender that fall inside the net.
German countered and called Olsen in action who made a brilliant double save to deny Muller in the 39th minute.
Just before the halftime whistle, Neuer made a crucial save to deny Berg header which otherwise would have landed inside the net. Germany looked in trouble.
Germany kicked off the second half with same confident and desperate for the comeback and found the equalizer in the 48th minute through Reus bringing back the hope for Germans.
