Sikkim lad signs for ONGC Mumbai
Palzor, who is currently in Goa with his new club for the pre-season training took some time out to talk to Goalie365 about his passion for the sport.
"I started playing when I was 11 when boys Club started their first Coaching Camp, later I was selected by the Pendam football Academy where I played for 2 years. In 2014 I was selected to play for State Sports Academy Gangtok and soon for SAIL FOOTBALL ACADEMY JHARKHAND," he said.
ONGC spotted Palzor´s talent while playing in the All India Football tournament in Bihar. Following the foot steps of Robin Gurung and Bikash Jairu who had also played for ONGC Mumbai in the past, Palzor is all set to prove himself in what will be his first professional club of his career.
ONGC Mumbai previously used to play in I-League first and second division but with the new licensing rules of the AFC, now features only in regional and national-level football tournaments. It is also a regular participant in the Governor´s Gold Cup football tournament in Sikkim held annually at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.
Palzor also mentioned about his parents Mr. Nima Wangdi Lepcha and Mrs. Seden Lepcha who has been a constant support to him and his love for the game right from the start.
Talking about his coaches in the past he said, " I am thankful to Michael Lepcha from Dzongu north Sikkim as well as Pushpa Gurung and Thupden Rapgyal from sports academy, members of Boys club and Chewang Sir of Gangtok Himalayan sporting club who supported me since I was young.
