AFC CUP 2017: BENGALURU FC 3-0 APRIL 25 SC (North Korea)
Sunil Chhetri once again showed his class getting off the mark for this season with a spot kick as Udanta Singh and Lenny Rodrigues later added a goal each giving the blues a clear cut victory over Korean champions APRIL 25 SC in the first leg of their AFC Cup inter-zonal semi-final at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Wednesday.
The coordination between Udanta Singh and Captain Chhetri was commendable and the Blues had full control over the game through out. Bengaluru FC took the lead in the 31st minute when Udanta Singh was brought down by Kang thus handing a penalty. Captain Chhetri stepped in to take the shot and made no mistake in slotting the ball home.
2nd goal of the match came in the 51st minute when Kim Chol Bom miss calculated made by his team mate Pak Myong Song from outside the D area. Udanta Singh took full advantage of their mistake winning possession over the ball before firing his shot that landed right on the target.
The third goal for Bengaluru FC came in the 78th minute when Chhetri did well to cut past his marker before making a brilliant cross towards unmarked Lenny Rodriguez at the far post who made no mistake in scooping the ball over the custodian and into the net making it 3-0 for the home side Bengaluru FC.
