FIFA U17 WORLD CUP FIRST STAGE: Iraq 3-0 Chile, Honduras 5-0 New Caledonia
Iraqs 3-0 win over Chile has increased their chances to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2017 U17 Fifa World Cup. Striker Mohammed Dawood scored a goal in each half. The first goal by Dawood came as early as in the 6th minute when he was able to net the ball past the keeper from a tight angle. His 2nd Goal came from a freekick placing Chile 2 goals behind in the 66th minute. Dawood almost had his hat-trick but his shot got deflected off Diego Valencia that resulted in an own goal.
Honduras, on the other hand, outclassed New Caledonia with a scoreline of 5-0. Honduras first goal came in the 25th minute through Mejia. It did not take long for them to double their lead as in the 27th minute Canales sent a perfect freekick right past the keeper making it 2-0 for Honduras. Mejia got his brace and the 3rd one for his team in the 42nd minute. Patrick Palacios also got his brace in the 2nd half in the 51st and 88th minute respectively making a total of 5-0 for Honduras.
Iraq defeated Chile 3-0 while Honduras hammered 5-0 to New Caledonia.
