Karna Limbu bagged the highest scorer of the tournament and also scored the match winning goal in the Final

In an entertaining finale of the Sukuna Gold Cup tournament, Triveni Sporting Clubs defeted U.K.F.C   1-0 at Sukan High School Ground.

Both team started the game well as they looked aggressive in the early phases of the first half, Triveni Sporting Club was however better with their attack and ball possession.

Triveni Sporting Club got their real chance in the 10th minute of the game when Karna Limbu put a  brilliant cross from the right wing for Nagendra Limbu who just could not reach upto the ball as it was headed away by the UKFC defender.

Triveni Sporting looked more in control of the game by the end of 30th minute and UKFC on other side was searching for ideas to get past the strong looking Triveni back line.

Both the teams failed to end the deadlock at the end of first session.

UKFC had an early chance at the beginning of second half when Ghanian striker Enok made a fine cross from the left flank but Triveni Sporting goalkeeper Dinesh Thapa collected the high ball neatly before it could cause any danger.

Triveni gradually took control on their attack and kept invading U.K.F.C territory and got rewarded finally in 62nd minutes when Dinesh´s decent cross found Ganhesh Khadka who again tried for a header  but was intercepted by the defenders the however went back to Karna Limbu who played a quick one to one with Bishal Rai before taking a low shot into the net to giving Triveni SC a lead of one goal.

U.K.F.C looked desperate to get the equalizer as it was a 40 minute game where even the clock was not favouring them. They were close to finding the net a number of times towards the end but could not come up with that cutting edge to get that ball past Triveni Sporting´s custodian Dinesh Thapa.

Triveni Sporting´s  Karna Limbu received the highest scorer award and also bagged the instant cash prize as the first and only scorer of the day. BijayDhimal received the best defender award,  UKFC  Ghanaian striker received the award for best striker of the tournament while Pradip Lama received the award for best goalkeeper.
