The SSA ground continues to play a vital role in the ingoing Shillong Premier League as the crowd witness the third consecutive draw affecting the point table immensely as d defending champions Langsning and Meghalaya Police played 1-1 draw today.
Meghalaya Police took the lead in the 26th minute through Lalramtara Ngamlai´s goal while the equalizer came in the stoppage time of the first session after Rimitre Thma´s goal for Langsning.
The pitch was drier today but the bounce was still noticeably bad and control difficult. It looked especially that way for Langsning, for whom the turf did not seem to suit their fluid style of play.
Not much happened in the second half, except for Nongkhlaw making two good diving saves in quick succession in the 67th and 68th.
Langsning continues to remain at the top of the table with 15 points, while MLP moves up a place to fourth with eight points to Malki´s seven.
Malki will take on Shillong Lajong on Friday at 5:30 PM.
