Royal FC secured a comprehensive 5-1 win over Damak Football Acadmey, Nepal, in the second semifinal match of the 6th edition of Lt. Rudralal Adhikary and Krishna Kumari Bhandari Memorial winners Gold Cup and Lt Sovham Singh Kherwar & Tulsi Prashad Sharma Runners Cup popularly known as Milan More Gold Cup, organized by Madhur Milan Sangh.
The game kicked off at low tempo as both side took some time to settle into the field except for a a few move created on either side.
It was in the 33rd minute of the game Siddhart Chhetri´s shot from the left side of the post rebouned off the post to find substitute Buddha Paul at the right position who chested the ball to roll it over the goal line.
The second half saw a different Royal tigers, hungry for goal. The Siliguri Royal tigers completely dominated the second half. However the second goal for the Royal FC came in the 76th minute through defender Niwash Rana who made a beautiful run to pull the ball from Damak goalkeeper and tapped in into the net.
Two minutes later Buddha Paul took advantage of the goalkeeping error and scored his second goal of the match to give Royal 3-0 lead.
Nepalese side in attempt to make a comeback pulled back one in the 80th minute through Rejin Magni.
Karan Rai scored his 9th goal of the tournament to give Royal FC 4-1 lead and made Damak comebac impossible.. Tuhin Mondal added the 5th one for Royal Tigers to seal the deal.
Royal FC will now take on United FC Darjeeling in the finals on 6th January.
