Bengaluru FC booked their place in the final of the 2018-19 Indian Super League (ISL) beating NorthEast United 3-0 (4-2 on aggregate) in the second leg of their semi-final at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Tuesday night.
As expected host started the game on the front-foot and enjoyed possession of the ball in the initial moments of the game as they look to overturn a one-goal deficit against NorthEast United FC.
The first half witnessed Bengaluru creating chances but failing to make it convert any of those as the NorthEast defence stood tall to resist any threat from the hosts.
The second session was no deference either as Bengaluru FC continued to keep the pressure on the NorthEast in search of that important one goal to bring them to level in aggregate against Highlanders.
The Highlanders defensive wall was finally broken in the 72nd minute through magical Miku who flicked Udanta´s right wing low-cross to put the ball at the back of the net.
Bengaluru triggered the second goal in the 87th minute through Dimas Delgado who reacted on the rebound on Udanta´s shot that hit the post before falling for Delgado.
