Courtois Signs 5 Year Deal With The Blues
First choice keeper Thibaut Courtois has signed a 5 year deal with Chlesea.
After spending three successful seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and winning Copa del Rey and a la liga title, the young Belgian has now returned to his parent club.
Courtois has already played 3 English league matches ahead of Petr Cech this season before going in for the contract extension.
Chelsea’s official website today stated: “Chelsea football club is pleased to announce Thibaut
Courtois has today signed a new 5-year contract.”
The Belgian said: "My future was already sorted but it's nice to know I'm going to be here for
another five years and now I can just concentrate on playing games."
This new deal has also put the future of Petr Cech in doubt as Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has already preferred Courtois over Cech as the first team keeper since his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
