Mumbai City FC sings Jacki, Aibor and Haokip
Mumbai City FC today announced the signing of three North East players into their squad for the Hero ISL 2016.
Jackichand Singh, Aiborlang Khongjee and Boithang Haokip have secured their spot in the team following brilliant performances in the Indian leagues.
With the signing of this North East trio, Mumbai City FC has further strengthened their side by bringing in players that will complement the current squad.
The Manipuri boy played for Salgaocar FC in the 2015-16 I-League seasons. The talented winger has been key to Royal Wahingdoh´s promotion in the 2014 I-League that finished third in their debut season in 2015.
The 24 year old Jacki won the Indian I-league Players of the year 2014-15 and have appeared for National side seven times.
Boithang Haokip plays for Shillong Lajong FC in the I-League and known for his dribbling ability. The 25-year-old versatile winger is prolific down the wings and also an excellent player in central midfield. His prowess won him the FPAI Fans "Player of the Year" in 2014.
Aiborlang Khongjee is the next exciting signing at Mumbai City FC, the versatile defender will add up to great defensive ability to the team´s defense. Khongjee has appeared seven time for India and was also part of the SAFF Championship winning Indian team in 2015-16 in Kerala.
28 year old Shillong Lajong FC skipper has also played for Mohun Bagan and East Bengal in the past. Khongjee featured for NorthEast United FC in the last two ISL editions.

The Maharashtra-based club earlier in April announced Alexandre Guimaraes as their head and also confirmed the retention of a few key individuals from last season, including Cristian Bustos, Sony Norde and Sunil Chhetri.
