National Football Team Under-19 captain Anirudh Thapa is singed in by newly promoted Punjab Minerva FC for the upcoming I-league season.

Born on 15th January 1998 in Uttarakhand, Thapa is talented midfielder and started his football training at the age of 10 in St. Stephen´s School in Chandigarh where he studied.

Anirudh was later picked up by AIFF Elite Academy in 2012 and started training with esteemed national academy. Thapa came into limelight when India defeated Nepal to win the Under 16 SAFF Championship in 2013.

The versatile midfielder was also part of India U-15 squad and also participated in AFC U-16 Championship. The attacking midfielder went to Malaysia to compete in the Asia U16 Championship in 2014. 
In 2015, Thapa was the youngest member selected to be part of the India U19 squad who were runners-up in SAFF U19 Championship. Thapa scored twice in four matches in the competition. He won the U19 I-league in 2015-2016 seasons when he captained the AIFF Elite Academy.
