The newly prompted Miverva Punjab Football Club signed in former Kerala Blasters central midfielder...

 

Chandigarh based Minerva Punjab Football Club is owned by Rajit Bajaj and is under the supervision of head coach Surinder Singh and will make its debut in I-league this season.

 

To strengthen its squad with young blood Minerva signed in rising North East talent Vinit Ria for the upcoming season.

 

 Assam based Vinit Rai is the product of Tata Football Academy who was scouted at the edge of 13 was signed in by Dempo after graduating from Tata Football Academy.

 

The then Dempo head coach Arthur Papas said "Vinit is a very cultured midfielder with a great range of passing. He has a willingness to always want the ball and link the play between the defensive and forward lines."

 

19 year old Vinit made his professional debut for Dempo in 2015 against East Bengal.

 

In 2016 Thapa Basti born Vinit was singed in by Indian Super League Sachin Tendulkar co-owned franchise Kerala Blasters. Blasters lost in the finals to Atletico de Kolkata for the second time in ISL history.

 

Vinit also featured for India under-23 side on 27 March 2015 against Uzbekistan U23 in the 2016 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers.
